What we collect
Truth Ranger collects only what is needed to run the service: your child's display name, email address (for login), age group, debate session data (progress, scores, coach messages), and basic usage analytics. We do not collect location data, advertising identifiers, or browsing history outside the app.
How we use it
Session and progress data powers the learning experience — XP, badges, levels, and parent progress links. We use privacy-friendly analytics (PostHog) to understand how the product is used and to fix errors. We do not use data for advertising and we do not sell personal data.
AI processing & fair use
Debate coaching is powered by Anthropic's API. Message content is sent to Anthropic only to generate coach replies and scores, under their data handling terms. Each account has a weekly practice limit to keep the free tier sustainable — see our Terms of Use for details.
Children's data
Truth Ranger is designed for children, with a primary focus on ages 10–12 (paths for 8–10 and 11–14 are also available). Accounts should be created with parental awareness. We do not allow contact between children. AI interactions are limited to structured educational debate with Coach Terra.
Data storage & retention
Data is stored on Supabase (hosted infrastructure). We retain account data while the account is active. You may request deletion of your child's account and all associated data at any time — email us and we will process requests within 48 hours.
